I’m travelling to Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia and am in the market for an engagement ring. I’ve heard it could be much cheaper to buy a ring or a diamond to have mounted in one of these countries rather than buying one in the UK. I’ve just no idea where to buy one, how much cheaper they will be and I’m a bit worried being ripped off and buying a fake.

I’m thinking about popping the question to my girlfriend in the near future. How much for a nice engagement ring? How many carrots should it be, like 10 carrots?

My boyfriend has decided he is not in favor of engagement rings and would like to research what other cultures do when a couple gets engaged. Does anyone have an personal experience, general knowlege, or websites I can look at? Thanks!
We want something symbolic, but are looking to stray from an engagement ring. We want something meaningful, not silly. Please answer seriously.

My boyfriend and I are shopping for a "recycled" engagement ring in the Boston area. Which stores have the largest selection of estate and antique jewelry we could go look at?

I have had multiple married friends ask me which goes on top. I wear my engagement ring on top, but I wanted to know what is right, just to know.

I am buying an engagement ring soon but don’t have much time between buying the ring and a wicked opportunity to propose.
My girlfriend wants a very simple ring, and I am going to London’s Jewelery quarter to find/buy it so sourcing the ring shouldn’t be a problem.
The only problem being I’ll only have 2-3 days max from buying the ring to popping the question. Will the jewelers have the ring in stock or do they always have to be sent off/adjusted?

I have two bands, one that goes on either side of my engagement ring. They don’t stay lined up properly and since they don’t have diamonds around the entire band, they don’t look nice all time. I had briefly heard of a connector that will hold them in place without soldering them?
Has anyone heard of this also? and where to find one?
Thanks!

I love deep, inky-blue sapphires, I think they’re beautiful. But for an engagement ring, my friend said a princess cut sapphire on white gold would look "trashy". Is it better to just opt for a diamond?
